Angelo J. Vella, 95 of Fort Myers, FL died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Ft. Myers, FL after a very brief illness.  He was the husband of the late Elsie E. (Heal) Vella.

Born Monday, October 14, 1918 in Brockton, MA he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Agusta) Vella.

Angelo was educated in Brockton Schools.  He was raised in Brockton and had lived in West Bridgewater moving to Ft. Myers in 1983.  He summered in Brewster, MA where he enjoyed having summer parties.  He worked in garment factories and at London Clothing all his life.  He was a former member of the Lions Club and was an avid Yankee’s Fan.  He enjoyed bowling, dancing at the former Roseland Ball Room in Taunton, golfing and loved his dogs.

He is survived by a sister Anna Buteau of Middleboro; a nephew Joseph A. Vella who he took care of as a son and many other nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.  He was also the brother of the late Paul Vella, Charles Vella, Mario Vella and Salvator Vella.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 4-7 PM.
