Audrey Ann (Dennis) Read age 71 years wife of the late Richard M. Read passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Long Meadow of Taunton nursing home following a period of failing health. 

Born in Taunton on Wednesday November 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Alvie & Jeannette (Carreaux) Dennis. Audrey grew up and attended school in Taunton, and later moved to Middleboro where she has been a resident for the past 45 years.  Before her retirement Audrey worked as a C.N.A at the Paul Dever School in Taunton, she also worked as a store clerk for Grampy’s Convenience store in Taunton and Capeway Convenience store in Middleboro. In her spare time Audrey enjoyed doing many crafts especially knitting and ceramics. 

Audrey is survived by her two daughters; Cynthia J. LaFleur of Taunton, and Cheryl M. Lee & her husband Thomas of Assonet, five grandchildren; Ronald & David Gushee, William, Ralph, & Thomas Hunt, and six great-grandchildren. Audrey was also the mother of the late Ronald Thomas Read.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 2nd at 11:00 am at The Cemetery at the Green, Middleboro, MA

So sorry to know of your loss . I will remember Audrey as a loving, sweet person who had an infectious laugh. She was so talented, I was in awe that she made your wedding dress Cheryl and it was very beautiful. She was involved in cooking your reception meal so we could forgive her for being late for the wedding. It was grand anyway. We enjoyed having her join us for many Thanksgivings and other times. Those are happy memories to enjoy.
I hope the memories of your Mom will bring comfort to you as you grieve her passing. Love Mom and Rich
