Madelyn (Jackson) Newberg, 93 of Brockton formerly of West Bridgewater, MA died Monday, Oct. 20, 2015 at Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton.  She was the wife of the late Harland Newberg.

Born Jan. 5, 1922 in Gloucester, MA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dora (Kluge) Jackson.

Madelyn was a 1940 graduate of Brockton High School.  She had lived in Brockton until 1983 when she moved to West Bridgewater and had returned to Brockton for the past two years.  She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and bingo.  She was a former member of the West Bridgewater Senior Club and a member of Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater.

She is survived by a daughter Joyce Goodwin and her husband Al of Medway; a granddaughter Kristin Trufant and her husband Peter of Medway; a great-grandson Jordan Trufant; a great granddaughter Kaylin Trufant and several nieces and nephews.  She was also the mother of the late Merle Newberg and the sister of the late Carol Procaccini, Dorothy Quist, Harry Jackson, Evelyn Jackson, Barbara Weeks, Richard Jackson and Paul Jackson.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton.  Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater, MA.

Visitation will take place on Monday October 26, 2015 from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Community Covenant Church, 400 Pleasant St., East Bridgewater, MA 02333 or a charity of your choice.
