Alice L. (Carlson) (Peterson) Regnell, 100, of Brockton, MA died Sept. 2, 2016 at West Acres Nursing Care in Brockton.  She was the wife of the late Philip A. Regnell and the late Eldon F. Peterson.

Born Feb. 2, 1916 in Cambridge, MA she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Alma (Hall) Carlson.  Alice was educated in Cambridge Schools and continued onto Secretarial School.  She has been a long time resident of Brockton and had worked at Pilgrim Laundry and then as Executive Secretary to the Bank President at Campello Cooperative Bank.  She was a faithful member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Martha Guild.  She also enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by 2 daughters Arlene MacNevin and her husband Richard of Brockton and Marilyn Nercessian and her husband Berj of Burlington; 2 grandchildren Craig MacNevin and Ryan MacNevin and his wife Christine both of Brockton; 5 great-grandchildren Camden, Bryce, Amanda, Kaley and Keira MacNevin all of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 from 10 – 11 AM in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 900 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hope Hospice, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
