Darshan “Lana” Robbins, 76, of West Bridgewater, MA passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love of her family on April 8, 2017.

Darshan “Lana” was born and raised in Brockton and was the daughter of Elizabeth (Zwicker) and Donald Fisher.  She graduated from Brockton High School and attended Shepard-Gill School of Nursing in Boston.  She then entered a career in nursing/health care.  Following over twenty years of service in nursing she received degrees from, Massasoit Community College in Social Work and Bridgewater State University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology, and was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  She established her own practice, Holistic Health Associates, where she practiced for over thirty years as a counselor and compassionate healer.

Darshan enjoyed traveling widely, biking, swimming, reading, gardening, spending hours in the outdoors, and was an “animal whisperer” with a reputation among all the wild things who knew her.  She was also an avid Red Sox and Patriot’s fan and seldom missed a game.

Darshan’s courage, compassion, strength, and good humor brought joy and comfort to all who knew her and her indomitable spirit and capacity for laughter remained intact even during her final illness.

She was married to the late David Robbins and is survived by her four children, David Robbins of Waltham, MA, Sheli Young of Westport, MA, Terri Banks or Raynham, MA and Daryl Robbins of Denver, CO.  She was blessed with five grandchildren Zachary Banks, Justin Banks, Lexi Young Nathan Young and Pailey Robbins and was especially close to her sister Susan Todd of West Bridgewater, who was also her primary care giver in her last years of life. She is also survived by her sister Cathy Schulze of Reno, NV; her nieces Donna White and Meghan Schulze; a nephew Jon Schulze and her son-in-law Robert Young and daughter-in-law Jennifer Robbins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 for family and friends at 5:00 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA.   Visitation has been omitted
