Greeta Reed of East Bridgewater died peacefully on July 18, 2017, at the Wingate Rehab in Kingston.  She would have been 98 years old on August 1st!!

She was born in Brockton to Fred and Carrie Chase and was predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Stokes and Virginia Vickery.  She was the wife of Raymond Swanson for 54 years and later married Stanley Reed, both of whom are deceased..

Greeta worked as a dental assistant until she married Ray, and together they had four children:  Ann Prosper(John) of Sandwich, Sally Huffman(Lou) of NY, John(deceased), and Christine Pomeroy(Mark) of Middleboro, all who grew up in West Bridgewater.

She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Brockton where she was very involved and had many long-lasting friends.  Greeta also enjoyed reading, listening to music, going to Cape Cod, and making delicious apple pies.  But, most of all, she loved spending time with her family, all of whom loved and adored her.

In addition to her daughters, Greeta is survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, a nephew, and 2 stepdaughters.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 10 - 11 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11 AM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton.  The Rev.
