It is with deep sorrow that the family of Francis X. Orfanello lll “Frankie” announce his death after a prolonged illness on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at age 26. Frankie is survived by his parents, Frank and Nora (Kerwin) Orfanello, his brother Matt and sisters Maria and Grace. He was so loved by his aunts and uncles; Mary A. Orfanello, Agnes (Orfanello) and Sean Walsh, David Kerwin, Helen(Kerwin) and Chas Kavoock, Amy Kerwin and Tiarnan O’Corrain, Karen(Kerwin) and Steve Reinbolt and Marian(Kerwin) and Dave Rathbun. Frankie’s cousins, Nick, Kristen and DylanOrfanello, Barbara and Myriah Bieber, Baileigh Walsh, Dan and Lindsay Kerwin, Erynn (Kerwin) and Clark Moss, Chuck Kavolock, Tadhg and Oscar O’Corrain, and Claire and Lorelei Obermeyer are terribly saddened at his passing. Frankie is also survived by a large family of great aunts and uncles, second and third cousins and a beautiful community of friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Barbara Orfanello and John and Judy Kerwin and his uncles, Paul Orfanello, Andrew, John and Pete Kerwin as well as his aunts, Anne Marie Kerwin and Jennifer Orfanello.
 
Frankie grew up in Taunton and attended Coyle and Cassidy High School. He learned a trade in Heating and Air conditioning and worked locally for several years. His illness with substance use disorder took him to Florida, where he worked in sales. Frankie’s beautiful heart touched all who he met.
 
A Mass of Christian burial will be at Sts. Martha and Mary Catholic Church in Lakeville, Ma. on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, September 19th from 4 to 8pm at Dahlberg MacNiven Funeral Home in Lakeville.

We couldn't believe it when our son, Joey, told us about Frankie's passing...so very sad....we will always remember and treasure their years spent together at SFX, and the many sleepovers to celebrate birthdays... To the Orfanello Family, We were so sad to hear of the loss of Frankie. We had the pleasure of meeting Frankie a few years ago down the cape. We recognized immediately what a warm, loving and caring soul he was! Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that we hold you all in our hearts at this sad time. Frank and Nora and family, Debbie and I just heard about Frankie and wanted to express our deepest condolences to you on your loss. I have great memories of coaching Frankie in Pop Warner and was extremely saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great kid who always had a smile and was a great teammate.
