Roy E. Engstrom, 73, formerly of East Bridgewater, MA died peacefully Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Liberty Commons in Chatham, MA.  He was the husband of the late Catherine (Nicholiasen) Engstrom of East Bridgewater, MA.

Born July 29, 1944 in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late Roland and Alice (Babcock) Engstrom of East Bridgewater, MA.  He was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School and honorably served in the United States Navy.

Mr. Engstrom had previously resided in Vero Beach, FL and most recently resided in Dennisport, MA.  He was a member of the Puritan Lodge and the South Shore Commandery as well as other civic and community organizations. For many years he worked as a Millwright, Local 1121-Boston, MA.  He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Engstrom is survived by his three children, Christine Emmons of Buxton, ME; Peter E. Engstrom and his wife Jennifer of East Bridgewater, MA; Anne Engstrom of Dennisport, MA and his two brothers, Neil Engstrom and his wife Kathy of West Bridgewater, MA; Peter A. Engstrom of East Bridgewater, MA. He also leaves three grandsons; Daniel Bowley, Lawrence Bowley and Nicholas Engstrom as well as two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4p-8p and Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St. Brockton, MA.  Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery in East Bridgewater, MA.

To the family of Roy Engstrom, please accept my sincere condolence. I am so sorry to learn of your loved one passing away. Fondly remembering him as a good friend and neighbor growing up in East Bridgewater and later years in Brockton. Keeping him and all of you in my prayers with the hope that your memories of joyful times together will be of comfort as you celebrate his life. God bless all of you in this time of sorrow.
