Music by The Piano Brothers

Scott R. Andrews, 49 of Lakeville, MA passed away November 6, 2017.  He was the son of Carol M. (Andrews) Viapiano.

Scott was an extraordinary young man who was born with down syndrome.

Scott left a legacy he had built throughout his lifetime and was loved by anyone that met him.  In 1976 at the age of 8 Scott attended the Richard Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover, MA for 14 years graduating in 1990 at the age of 22.  From there he moved into a group home in Carver, MA.  Scott as an only child now had housemates (siblings you could say).  His recent home was in Lakeville, MA, and he loved his home and his roommates.  Scott’s caregivers (staff) were just great.  His room was his favorite place to spend time and it was decorated with New England Patriots.

Scott attended a day program at the May Center in Raynham, MA where he loved doing Meals on Wheels, Karaoke, cooking and many other activities.  He was a member of the Action Club with the Kiwanis cooking group and enjoyed basketball, fishing, going out to eat and most of all the Patriots.

Scott will life on in his families live and all that knew him.  Its not good bye.  It’s till we are together again.

In addition to his mother Carol he is survived by his step-dad Vincent V. Viapiano and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC), 20 Burlington Mall Road, Suite 261, Burlington, MA 01803
