Charles Russell Alderman, 80, of Lakeville, MA formerly of Taunton, MA passed away March 1, 2018 from complications due to surgery.  Charles was born in West Virginia, one of twelve children and was the loving husband of Joanne (Chadwick) Alderman 0f 39 years.

He served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He retired from Chadwick’s of Boston and worked for many years at New England Brass Company.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends playing pool and card games.  Living on Long Pond gave him the opportunity to enjoy his fishing and boating hobbies.

In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by his children David Alderman and his wife Robin, Debra Cherubini, Susan Lamond, Russell Alderman and his wife Betty, Brenda Alderman Roy, Scott Alderman and his wife Michelle and Donna Alderman who predeceased him.  He was the grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of two.  He loved playing with his new puppy Princess Bella.

You will be missed my brother. I remember all the funny things you used to do to make us younger siblings laugh. The towel cases, the egg hunt where you ate our eggs and laughed about it. I looked up to you Russ. Will always remember your laughter.

Dave, So sorry for your loss. Words cannot take the pain away that you and your family are feeling now. Surrounding yourself with family and friends during this time may ease it though.

RIP Uncle Russell. I have great memories of my childhood and being at Aunt Clarice's with you and what fun you were. I will never forget the great brother you were to my mom. You will be missed.

Uncle Russ was the best uncle ever. I will remember your singing and whistling always. And I also will remember when you used to babysit us years ago.
