Andersen, Margaret M. “Peggy” (Hegarty), 91 years old, passed away peacefully on January 12,
2019, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Boston, daughter of James I. and Margaret F. (Kane)
Hegarty. Loving wife to the late Warren K. Andersen. Devoted mother of Gail May and her husband
Peter of Lakeville, Corinne Andersen of Berkley, Maura Daly and her husband John of Berkley, and
Warren Andersen and his wife Nancy of Shapleigh, Maine. Adored Nana of Jillian May and longtime
partner Paul Burn, Christen May, Courtney May, Timothy Daly and wife Jennifer, and her newborn
great-grandson, Jack Fritz, Edward Daly, Catherine Daly and fiancé William Enos, Christopher Andersen and wife Marissa, and Ryan Andersen. Beloved sister of Gerald of Plymouth, Dennis and his wife Bernice of Florida, and the late James, Richard, Paul, and John Hegarty. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Originally from Dorchester, Margaret and her husband raised their family in Randolph. She was employed by Morse Shoe in Canton for many years until her retirement. She relocated to Berkley to be closer to her family where she spent many happy years. Peggy also enjoyed years of bowling leagues, sewing, gardening, volunteering, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Devout Catholic, she was a Communicant of Saint Bernadette’s in Randolph for 35 years and Saint
Bernard’s in Berkley for 25 years. Best friend to the late Mary Connors; in younger years, they enjoyed
going to shows and spending vacations and holidays together. Margaret loved vacationing in Maine
with her children and grandchildren, where she could relax by the lake and play cards with family. She
will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and has passed along her loving, kind, and patient nature to those she leaves behind. Donations in her memory can be made to the Activities Department at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 9:00 - 10:25 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville, MA. Followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Bernard Church in Assonet, MA

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from God give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

The Vineyard Unit at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater would like to express our sadness and condolences for Peg's passing. She was a sweet and kind person with other residents and staff. She enjoyed her activities and will be truly missed by all. Thank you to Gail, Corinne and the rest of the Andersen family for allowing us to take care of Peg, and for giving us the pleasure of her company for the time we had her.

Love, her extended family, the Vineyard Angels xoxoxoxoxo

I never met her but feel that I know her through the stories christen would tell us. She must have been a wonderful woman to have been so loved by her granddaughter. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren.

My condolences go out to all of Peg's family and friends. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. I have always admired her strength and determination to overcome obstacles. Bingo and sittercizes will never be the same without her there.
As much as I'll miss Peg, is how much I will miss her family too. Thank you all for your support and kindness.
