James F. King, 80, of Lakeville passed away July 11, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a short illness. He was the husband for nearly 58 years to the love of his life, the late Jane (Russell) King.

Born December 2, 1938 in Boston he was the son of the late John and Bridget (Shea) King.

James was a 1957 graduate of Cathedral of the Holy Cross High School and lived most of his adult life in Rockland. After his retirement he lived for 18 years in Davenport, FL. He worked for over 30 years for the United States Post Office and then was co-owner of Gowns by Jane Bridal Boutique in Norwell for over 10 years.

James was a U.S. Naval Air Veteran and was an avid golfer. He loved to watch TV, following Boston Sports and enjoyed the warm weather in FL.

He is survived by a son Randy King and his wife Kelly of Middleboro; 3 grandchildren Sharon King and her husband Tyler Caron of Carver, Madison King and Alexander King both of Middleboro; 2 great-grandchildren William and Elijah Caron of Carver; a sister Ann Marie Green and her husband Donald of NY and John King and his wife Loretta of Plympton and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary Josephine King.

All services will be held at a later date.
