Irene Carol Tarr, age 82 of Lakeville, died September 16, 2020, at Boston Medical Center.  She was the loving wife of the late Harold W. Tarr Sr. for 57 years. 

Born October 6, 1937, in Boston City Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Jack and Leona Finnell.

Irene lived in Holbrook for 25 years before moving to Lakeville in 1997.  Irene was a graduate of the Boston School district in her earlier years.  She worked at Randy’s Shoe Factory, before becoming a loving homemaker and bookkeeper for many years for her husband’s business, Butchies Removal Service.  Irene’s many hobbies included arts and crafts, gardening, sewing, shopping, word games, and puzzles.  A huge Red Sox fan, Irene usually spent her time watching the games at home.  Above all, Irene mostly enjoyed spending time with family. 

Irene is survived by her beloved children, Harold Tarr, Jr., Robert “Joe” Tarr and his wife Marcia, David Tarr and his wife Diana, Stephen Tarr and his wife Christine, and Erin Tarr and her fiancé Mike.  Grandmother of April, Justin, Ashley, Brittney, Dana, Lindsy, Ben, Hillary, David Jr., Nicole, Jacob, James Jr., Sofia, Mason, and the late Christy Tarr.  Great Grandmother of Haley, Ariyanna, Aliyah, Aleina, Jilliana, Anthony, Nikolas, Kaliyah, Vaela, and Charlotte.  Great-Great Grandmother of Alaya Rose, Aunt of Deborah Tarr-Johnson, Mark Tarr, Robin MacCallum, Sheryl Parrish, Karen Tarr, Joann O’Brien and the late Jack Tarr.  Irene also mas many more Great and Great-great nieces and nephews.  Irene was the identical sister of the late Barbara Tarr and sister of the late Robert Finnell.

All services will be private for family, as well as burial.
