James C. Malone, 93 of Middleboro, MA passed away after a lengthy illness on October 1, 2020 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Meredith (Arrighi) Malone.
Born February 26, 1927 in Lawrence, MA he was the son of the late Carmelo and Mary (Faro) Malone. James was a 1944 graduate of Lawrence High School and was a manager at Malone Trucking and at Syncor Corporation. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age of 17 and served in the Philippines with the Seabees during WW II. He was a member of the DAV and loved to work in his yard and tend to his flowers. He was also a Communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro.
In addition to his wife Meredith he is survived by his step children George (Dianne) Fitzmaurice, Dennis (Julie) Fitzmaurice, Erin (Mark) Minichiello; 9 step grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Angelina “Nina” (Lupo), his wife Mary (Silva) and sisters Lena Randazzo, Josephine Limanni and Virginia Polese.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James’s memory to St. Jude Children Hospital.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville, MA. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sts. Martha and Mary Church in Lakeville, MA. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
