James Francis DeMoranville, Jr. age 49 passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. Born in Middleboro on Friday April 23, 1971 he was the son of Claire E. (Lucas) Housewright and the late James F. DeMoranville, Sr. Jimmy lived in New Bedford and worked as a self-employed mechanic. He was hands on, a hard worker, outgoing and loud. He also was deaf, but always made sure he was, “known to be” in the room. He respected anyone and everyone and was admired by all who were lucky enough to know him. In addition to his mother Claire, James is survived by; the love of his life, Mary Jo Duncan and her mother Alice Duncan, four children, Jenny DeMoranville-Kane, James, Kristie and Jessica DeMoranville, two step-children; Tyler and Tessa Babineau and Nicholas Testone, his step-father Leon Housewright, sisters Brenda Brightman, Lori DeMoranville, brothers Barry Brightman, Thomas Lackie, Richard Lackie, Leon Housewright, fourteen grandchildren, Andrew, Abreia, Zayden and Zackary Kane, Joell DeMoranville, Sophia and Savannah Robinson, Braydenn-James and Christyan Bennett, Audrianna, Jonah-Kai, and Oaklynne Fabian, Alijah Babineau and Anthony DeMoranville, former wife Tammy Robbins, and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Visitation for James will be held on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Cremation will take place after the visitation and a funeral service will be held at later date and James’s cremains will be buried at Precinct Cemetery in Lakeville.
