Arlyn L. Massa

Arlyn Lee Massa, age 51, passed away at her home in North Carolina on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Arlyn grew up in Lakeville and Norton, MA, and was born in Taunton, MA, on Monday, June 5, 1972. She was the daughter of Regina DeMoura and Darrell Massa. In addition to her parents, Arlyn is survived by her daughter Sarah Bagge and son Jack Barr. She earned her bachelor's degree from Johnson and Wales University and master’s degree from Bridgewater State University. Arlyn worked as a high school teacher and was known as “Ms. Bagge” to her students and staff members. Also, an entertainer, Arlyn sang with several bands such as Tavares, Davy Jones, Beaver Brown, and was a member of the Charlie Ball Band. She was part of the cast for a production of Jesus Christ Super Star and worked as a chef for a short time. Arlyn was raised in the Baptist denomination and attended the former Mullein Hill Baptist Church in Lakeville. Her hobbies included singing, cooking, traveling, gardening, photography, and anything outdoors. Memorial visitation for Arlyn will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. At the request of Arlyn's family, please wear bright, vibrant colors to her service to honor and celebrate Arlyn's spirit and memory.
