Albert Bryant Bangs, age 76, loving husband of Pamela A. (Carney) Bangs, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, after a brief illness. The son of the late Albert and Audrey (Bisbee) Bangs, Albert was born in Brockton, MA, on Thursday, April 17, 1947. In addition to his loving wife Pam, Albert is survived by his stepson Roy L. Nelson Jr, sister Meredith Pope, sister-in-law Janice Carney, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Beverly Perkins.
Albert was a Brockton High School, class of 1966 graduate, and worked for the town of Middleboro’s highway department as the head foreman until his retirement. He also worked for Sam White’s in Middleboro and would work “haying” for George Conway at their farm in Bridgewater. A longtime resident of Middleboro, Albert and his wife Pam would spend their winters at their home in Bonita Springs, Fl. He was a life member of the Middleboro Elks Lodge 1274, as well as the Moose Lodge 1454, in Bonita Springs, Fl. Albert was a master stone mason, an avid fisherman and lobsterman, a member of the M.B.B.A. for many years, and enjoyed camping at Sandy Neck beach. You couldn’t ask for a better husband, stepdad, brother, uncle, or friend.
Visiting hours for Albert will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 4:00-7:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral home service will be held the following day Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 10:00AM. Albert will be laid to rest with his late parents and grandparents in Avon Cemetery, following the funeral service.
