Anna I. (Diogenes) Silvia

Anna I. (Diogenes) Silvia, 94, widow of Antone M. Silvia, passed away peacefully at her East Freetown, MA home after declining health. Born in Somerset, MA, on March 23, 1930, to the late John and Julia (Gossic) Diogenes, Anna was a devoted homemaker for her three daughters. A regular at Sunday Mass when able, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, and attending concerts, shows, and the theater. She cherished time with her family, including vacations. Anna is survived by daughters Sheryl, Sandy, and Karen; brothers Jerry and John; grandsons Michael, Aaron, and Jay; and three great-granddaughters. Predeceased by a sister and grandson, Anna's visitation is Sunday, August 25, 2024, 2-5 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA. Her funeral mass is Monday, August 26, at 10 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd. East Freetown, MA, with burial beside her late husband Antone at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
