Devoted Wife, Loving Mother and Grandmother, Cherished Sister and Friend
Barbara Bausemer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 61, at her beautiful home in Middleboro after a courageous five-month battle with cancer.
Born in Boston to Alice and Albert Malcolm, Barbara grew up surrounded by the love of her close-knit family. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and went on to pursue her passion at Labaron Hairdressing Academy. Over the years, Barbara built a career in loan processing at several banking institutions including Hometown Mortgage, Eastern Bank, Salem Five, and Randolph Savings Bank.
Barbara found her greatest joy in her family. She was the heart of every gathering, always happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and loved ones. Whether cooking a homemade meal, enjoying sunny days at the beach, or simply sharing stories around the table, Barbara brought light and laughter into every moment.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Bausemer; her loving children, Patrick and his wife Meredith, Samantha and her husband Matthew Meyers; and her cherished granddaughters, Lucy, Finley, Isla, and Camden. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Diane, Linda, Patricia, Paul, Carol and Jimmy.
Barbara’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visiting hours for Barbara will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 4:00PM -6:30PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA, followed by a prayer service starting at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to a cancer support organization of your choice.
