Barbara A. (Baker) Leitos

Barbara Ann (Baker) Leitos, 83, of Middleborough, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Leitos Jr., and daughter of the late Mary (Freitas) and Edward Baker. Born in Middleborough on September 9, 1940, she was a proud graduate of Middleborough High School, class of 1958. Barbara spent over sixty years in Lakeville before returning to Middleborough for the last two decades. Her early career included work at Baker Apple Farm and Blueberries, and she later served as a certified nurse's aide, then dedicated thirty years to Alden Shoe Company. Post-retirement, she contributed four years to the Council on Aging. Barbara also explored hairdressing and beauty pageants, participating as Miss Buick. Her later years were filled with camping at Sandy Neck Beach, global travels with her husband, and cherishing time with her two great-grandchildren. A devout communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Middleborough, Barbara leaves behind her daughter Laurie Boutin and husband Robert, grandchildren Marissa Boutin with fiancé Matt Evans, Kiley Boutin, Shannon DeLuca with husband Matt, Gabrielle Boutin, Antonio Boutin, Joshua, Rick, and Cassie Philips, and her treasured great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Thomas Tarkanian. She was preceded in death by her sister Peggy Crockett, aunts Irene and Dot Freitas, and son John Philips. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10th, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, Lakeville, MA. Services will continue Thursday, July 11th, with an 11:00 AM funeral home service and a 1:15 PM committal service at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, where she will join her late husband.
