Benjamin H. Adams Jr., age 85, beloved husband of Donna M. (McCarty) Adams, will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit. He peacefully passed away on September 28, 2026, at his home in Lakeville, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born on June 13, 1941, in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Benjamin H. Adams Sr. and Dorothy (Ormsbee) Adams. Benjamin grew up in Swansea and proudly graduated from Case High School. He later established a loving partnership with his wife, Donna, as they made their home in Lakeville. Ben was co-owner of the former Alben Construction and dedicated over three decades of his career as a machinist at Harodite Industries in Taunton.
A valued member of the Middleboro Elks Lodge and a lifetime member of the Mitchell Memorial Club, Ben cherished time spent with family and friends. His passions included hunting, fishing, and traveling, pursuits that brought much joy to his life.
In addition to his beloved wife, Donna, Ben is survived by his son, Robert Adams and his wife Brenda; his daughter, Dale Goulart and her husband Steven; his sister, Dorothy Webb and her husband Jr.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial visitation in honor of Benjamin on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. This will be followed by a memorial service commencing at 12:00 PM. Ben will then be laid to rest at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Taunton, reflecting on a life well-lived.
