Betty L. (Finch) Dacey

Betty L. Dacey, age 86, beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Monday April 13, 2026, at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro, MA. She was the loving wife of the late John A. Dacey. Born on Sunday March 24, 1940, in West Bridgewater, MA, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Leila M. (Holyoke) Finch.

Betty graduated from the Mansfield Beauty Academy and dedicated her life to her passion for hair styling. As the owner of Susie's Unique Boutique in Whitman, MA. Betty lived and raised her four girls in Hanson for over 30 years, before moving to Middleboro where she spent the next 25 years. A former member of the Central Middleboro United Methodist Church, she had an infectious spirit that drew people to her. Betty was passionate about bird watching and found joy in walking, especially along the Plymouth Waterfront and Cape Cod Canal. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her four daughters: Colleen Anderson and her husband Scott, Suzanne Wiley and her husband Edward, Cheryl Frye and her late husband Robert, and Nancy Macedo and her fiancé Jef Goyette. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Amanda Lattin, Robert Morrisette, Matthew Morrisette, Corey Morrisette, Cassandra Morrisette, Edward Wiley, Gauge Wiley, Christopher Frye, and Cameron Macedo, as well as her many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her many nieces, and nephews including Karen Charlomme and Barbara Brawders.

Visiting hours for Betty will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Following the service, Betty will be laid to rest at Center Cemetery in Pembroke, MA.

In this time of sorrow, we celebrate the life of Betty Dacey, who touched the hearts of many with her kindness and love. She will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
