Brenda P. Sabin, age 85 of Duxbury, formerly of North Easton, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Southwood of Norwell Nursing Center.
Born in Brockton, MA, and raised in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Martha C. (Peterson) Sabin. Brenda was a 1958 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Her childhood instilled a passion for classical music, and the love of her home on Gurnet Point in Plymouth, MA. It is at the Gurnet where her fondest memories are, while enjoying the peace and sound of the waves, seagulls, seals, and sunshine.
Brenda's radiant smile and outgoing warmth opened doors to many opportunities. Her employment at Stonehill College library, and later in life as a senior caregiver were many ways she demonstrated grace and compassion towards others. She always put the needs of her three children first, raising them during challenging times in her life. Brenda enjoyed a special relationship with her longtime companion, the late Frank Tedesco, a WWII veteran whom she loved, admired and shared many interests with including singing and classical music. In her final years, she resided in the Duxbury retirement community where she was loved by many and continued to maintain new and lifelong friendships.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Raymond Abreu, Jr of Naples, FL, Larry Abreu and his wife Beth of Easton, daughter Michele Abreu of Pembroke, granddaughters Kaitlyn Abreu and her fiancé Anthony Basa of Norton, and Rebecca Abreu of Easton. She was the sister of Priscilla Mosher of Plymouth, Judy Davis of Easton, and Rosemary Anderson of Bridgewater, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held for Brenda on Thursday October 16, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00PM, at the Covenant Congregational Church 204 Center Street North Easton, MA 02356. A private family graveside will be held on Friday October 17, 2025, at South Easton Cemetery, followed by a public funeral service at 11:30AM, at the Covenant Congregational Church.
