Bryan Keith Galvin, age 63 of North Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2021 unexpectedly at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Born on Tuesday August 27, 1957 in Saugus MA, he was the son of the late Thomas F. Galvin, Jr. and Muriel Mae (Clark) Galvin. Bryan was a graduate of Middleboro High School, Class of 1976 where he was a member of the wrestling team all four years. After high school, Bryan joined and served in the United States Marine Corp. A resident of North Dartmouth, Bryan was a Massachusetts Corrections Officer from 1980 – 2014, becoming a Retinen Corrections Officer in 1997, even earning Corrections officer of the Year. In his down time Bryan enjoyed guns, vacationing, cruises, weight lifting competitions, local and national weightlifting championships, and was an antique car enthusiast. Bryan is survived by; his brother Steven W. Galvin, brother Norman D. Galvin, brother Harold C. Galvin, nephew Thomas F. Galvin II, niece Farrah M. Galvin, nephew Wayne Carlson, grandniece Jenn Carlson, grandniece Jessica Carlson, grandniece Shari Grabowsky, grandniece Nicole Carlson, sister in law Lupe Carlson, and friend Keith Standish. Bryan was predeceased by his, brother Thomas F Galvin III, and niece Sandra Carlson. Visitation for Bryan will be held on Monday June 14, 2021 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Interement will take place at Titicut Parish Cemetery in North Middleboro.
