Carl E. Asbury

Carl E. Asbury, aged 88, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness. A devoted husband to his late wife Helen J. (Carr) Asbury, and son of the late Thomas J. Asbury and Mary E. (Lewis) Asbury, Carl was born in Tazewell, VA, and was a longtime resident of Lakeville. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 1959 to 1963 and worked for the Gillette Company for 33 years, retiring as a security supervisor. Carl enjoyed gardening, family travels, and casino visits. He is survived by his children, Carl T. Asbury with his wife Tia, Jean Davis, and Robert C. Asbury with his wife Donna, along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. The funeral home service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a committal service at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
