Chester P. Mann of Middleboro MA, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the age of 83 after a brief illness. Born on Friday, April 7, 1939, in Stoughton, MA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Signe Mann of Stoughton, MA. Chester was a member of the Stoughton High School class of “57”. He was honorably discharged and married his love Linda (Sandberg) Mann of Holbrook MA.
He was a self-taught class A machinist and later became an appliance repair technician and farmer.
Chet loved being with his family. He enjoyed camping, traveling, shell fishing on the Cape, fishing, gardening in his backyard, and watching his children and grandchildren play whichever sport or event they participated in.
Chet was a storyteller, jokester, mentor, and always had an open-door policy to family, friends, and anyone who needed a friendly face or handshake, as most know he had a “vise grip”.
He was a son, brother to seven siblings, husband, father, Papa, and Great-Papa to us all. Chet is survived by his son Curtis P. Mann, of Lakeville, daughter, Greta (Mann) Bennett and husband Bob Bennett of Middleboro.
