Claire D. (Gamache) Fowler

Claire D. Fowler, age 69, of East Taunton passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma cancer.  Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Jules R. Gamache and late Lucienne M. (Barthelemy) Gamache, and the beloved wife of Edward F. Fowler Jr. of 43 years.  After graduating from the Freetown Lakeville school system, she completed her higher education at the Andover Institute of Business in Brockton.  She was an office and IT manager for E. F. Fowler and Associates and SagePoint Financial, Inc. for 38 years.  She was a longtime volunteer at Holy Family Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Taunton Rotary Club.  She was a co-coordinator of the youth exchange program between the rotary clubs of Taunton, Massachusetts and Taunton, England.  She recently became a Rotary International Paul Harris Award recipient.  She enjoyed crafting, bowling, and photography.  She never missed a social event to which she was invited.  She lived her life giving to others and her generosity was unparalleled. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Angela C. Ford (husband: Gregory, children: Caleb, Riley), Jennifer F. Pavlovich (husband: Thomas, children: Julia, Emma, Clara), Melissa A. Theberge (husband: Eric, children: Jade, Jameson, Jackson, Justin), and honorary son Ryan Robert, four nieces, three nephews, and brother Donald R. Gamache.

Calling hours for Claire will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville.  Her funeral will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 372 Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton.  Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, 135 Wood Street, Middleboro.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claire’s honor to Minkahz NETs Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching high grade neuroendocrine cancer (netsmission.org).
