Daryl Gene Thompson

Daryl Gene Thompson, age 77, husband of the late Sandra Sue (Duggins) Thompson, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, in Brockton, MA after a brief illness. Born in Stanley, Wisconsin, on September 11, 1944. He was the son of Catherine (Potapenko) Thompson and the late Roger Thompson. Daryl graduated from Morton High School in Hammond, Indiana. He later lived in East Freetown, MA and most recently lived in Lakeville, MA. He was a Master Printer and worked for the former Rand McNally and World Color, which then became Quebecor World in Taunton, MA from where he retired. Daryl was a member of the Lakeville Eagles Club, Aerie #3994. He enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar and football. He loved spending time with his family and spending time with his friends at the Lakeville Eagles Club. Daryl is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Goslin and her husband Leonard Goslin III of Raynham, and Cheryl DaSilva and her husband Waleson DaSilva of Somerville, his four grandchildren: Leonard Goslin IV, Eric DaSilva, Emmaleigh DaSilva, and Elizabeth DaSilva, his sister Diane Peterson, nephews Jeffrey Peterson and Sean Peterson, and very good friend Susan Dufrane. He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Thompson. Daryl leaves behind many other family members along with close friends. Memorial Visitation for Daryl will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2021, from 4:00 - 7:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville MA 02347, immediately followed by a memorial service at 7:00PM. To Daryl's family and friends in Indiana, a service to celebrate Daryl will be held in the spring of 2022.
