Delores "Del" (Bertocci) Wright

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Delores "Del" Wright, age 86, who suddenly departed this life on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home in Lakeville, Massachusetts. Del was the beloved wife of the late George E. Wright and the cherished daughter of the late Sabino and Helen E. (Gidis) Bertocci. Born on October 29, 1938, in Brockton, MA, Delores was a proud member of the Brockton High School graduating class of 1956 and had been a resident of Lakeville for nearly 30 years.

Delores dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker, filling her home with warmth, love, and laughter. She was known for her joyful spirit and her passion for life. Del had a special affection for her beloved dogs, especially her cherished Bichon Frise, Sammie, whom she lovingly regarded as her baby. Her adventurous spirit was reflected in the many summers spent camping on Cape Cod, countless days at the beach, and cherished spring trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her late husband, George.

Delores leaves behind a loving family, including her two sons, Michael Wright and his wife Janice of Lakeville, and Jeffrey Wright of Taunton and Maureen Wright of Brockton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Breanne DeAndrade and her husband Jordan of Berkley, Nicholas Wright and his girlfriend Heather Moulding of Kansas, Joseph Wright and his wife Jordan of Plymouth, and Anthony Wright of Cape Cod. In addition, Del leaves behind her great-grandchildren, L.J. and Audrey DeAndrade, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will dearly miss her.

Visiting hours for Delores will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral service will take place the following morning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Delores will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, George, in Pine Hill Cemetery, located at 483 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379, following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, Delores asked for donations to be made to the Lakeville Animal Shelter in her name.

The family welcomes all who knew and loved Del to join them in celebrating her life and honoring her memory. She will forever remain in our hearts.
