Dennis Frederick McLeod

Dennis Frederick McLeod, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on March 17th, 2023.  He was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts to Jeanne (Colby) McLeod and Scott McLeod.  Dennis grew up in Middleboro and graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, after which he worked as a chemical etcher and machine operator.

Dennis loved music and often had a guitar or ukulele in hand, by a fire pit or outside under the tall pines.  His gruff beard, deep voice, and long ponytail belied his kind and tenderhearted nature. He propagated cacti and small plants, cared for animals, enjoyed sharing silly puns with friends and family, and most of all he treasured his sons Scotty and Joey.  They were his greatest source of pride, and he loved taking them for walks, going fishing, building Legos, and cooking with them.

His quiet warmth and rumbling laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Jeanne and Scott McLeod of Old Town, Florida; his beloved sons, Scott Alton McLeod and Joseph Malcolm McLeod of Middleboro; his brother, Thomas G. Stanwood, Jr., sister-in-law Valerie Stanwood, and nephews Graeme and Niall of Raynham; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial visitation for Dennis will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 3:00 – 4:00PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00PM, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347.
