Donald A. Gadd

Donald Gadd, 79, of Middleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2023. Donald was born June 13, 1943, in Brockton, the son of the late Albert Gadd and the late Anne Gadd, of Easton, MA. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Eddy) Gadd, son Daniel and his wife Kate Gadd of Dartmouth, daughter Diane Murphy of Middleboro, grandchildren Aaron Gadd of Wareham, Adam Gadd of Dartmouth, Kirstyn Sproule of Middleboro, James Cote of Berkley, Sarah Cote of Portsmouth, RI, Tyler Murphy, and Mackenzie Murphy of Middleboro, as well as great grandchildren Cameron, Carter, Callie, Charlotte, Riley, and Shea. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Daniel Murphy of Middleboro and great grandson Tysonn.

Donald served in the U.S. Navy Seabees for four years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a devoted family man who spent many years camping and fishing on Nauset Beach. After retiring from plastics mold engineering in 2007, he enjoyed wintering at Orange Grove in Fort Myers, Florida, where he had many friends, and riding his motorcycle as often as he could. During his life, Don was a member of the Civil Defense in Easton, MA and became an auxiliary police officer. He was a member of the Mass Beach Buggy Association for many years and later rode with the Manomet Mystery Riders all over New England.

Visiting hours for Donald will be held on Tuesday, April 25, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a prayer service to conclude services for the evening. Donald will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, April 26th at 1:30 PM. Anyone wishing to be a part of the procession to the National Cemetery on Wednesday, please plan to meet at the funeral home between 12:00-12:15PM. We will plan to be on the road by 12:30Pm for our 1:30PM appointment. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Donald's name to the Standish Humane Society, P.O.
