Donald B. Wood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Barry Wood, age 38, who departed this life suddenly on February 26, 2026, at Brockton Hospital. Born on April 7, 1987, in Providence, Rhode Island, Donny was the cherished son of Barry Wood and Leona (Consalvi) Wood. He grew up in Lakeville and, for the past two years, made his home in Brockton alongside his father and stepmother, Linda.

Donald graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School and became a valued member of the Arc of Greater Brockton, where his warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. He had an enthusiasm for bowling, particularly enjoying 10-pin, and was a beloved participant in the Thursday Night mixed league at Ryan's Amusements in Raynham. Music played a significant role in his life, and he proudly curated an extensive CD collection. A true lover of life's simple pleasures, Donny enjoyed shopping and exploring thrift stores, further reflecting his generous spirit.

His faith was a central aspect of his life, and he found solace and community at New Hope Church in Plymouth. Donald is survived by his father, Barry Wood, and wife Linda of Brockton, along with his mother, Leona Wood of Plymouth, and his paternal grandmother Madeline Hendricks of East Bridgewater. He leaves behind a close-knit family that includes his aunt Lorraine Wood; uncles David Wood, Michael Wood, and Gerald Consalvi; aunts Pauline Gamache, Dora Gouviea, and Doris Jefferson; and many cousins and dear friends.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. Following the viewing, a funeral service will commence at 7:00 PM to honor and celebrate Donald's life.
