E. Martha (Washburn) Knox

E. Martha Knox, age 73, wife of the late Stephen D. Knox, passed away Thursday May 13, 2021 at Nemasket Healthcare in Middleboro. Born in Brockton on Wednesday May 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Prentiss) Washburn. Martha was a graduate of Brockton High School and was a resident of Lakeville. She worked as an administrative secretary for the George R. Austin Middle School in Lakeville, retiring after 28 years. She then worked for 10 years for the family business. Martha was a communicant of Sts. Martha & Mary Catholic Church in Lakeville, she is survived by her two sons; Stephen Donald Knox and Mark Joseph Knox, four grandchildren; Meghen Knox, Craig Chambers, Thomas Knox, and Samantha Knox, and a great granddaughter, Mariah. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral mass will take place on Friday May 28, 2021 @ 11:00AM, at Sts. Martha & Mary Catholic Church 354 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. Martha’s cremains will be laid to rest with her late husband Stephen at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue Bourne MA following the funeral mass at 12:45PM.
