Edward A. Bourne, Jr., 63, of Attleboro Massachusetts, formerly of Easton, passed away on July 19, 2023, after a long period of failing health. Born in Boston, son of Evelyn A. Bourne and the late Edward A. Bourne Sr. of Brockton. He was raised in Brockton and attended Brockton Public Schools.
Ed spent more than 20 years in the trucking industry throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island being a member of the local Teamsters. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed many years of DIY home improvement projects and taking meticulous care of his lawn. Woodworking, making birdhouses, bicycling and repairing bicycles were always hobbies of his.
Ed is survived by two daughters, Cherie Goldstein and her husband Nathan of Newton, Jennifer Schmidt and her husband Garett of Easton. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jonathan and Noah Goldstein. In addition, he is survived by three sisters, Donna Bourne of Hanson, Mary Southworth and her husband Wayne of Easton and Debra Bourne and her Fiancé John Nicholson of Raynham. As well as his Uncle John McDermott of South Carolina, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Everyone will miss his kind heart and love for family.
Visitation for Edward will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 2-3pm at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville. A brief Funeral Service will follow at 3pm
