Edward William Rounds

Edward William Rounds, age 79, devoted husband of Marsha E. (Hamilton) Rounds for over 52 years, will be lovingly remembered after his passing at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI, on May 10, 2026. Born on December 24, 1946, in Taunton, MA, he was the cherished son of the late Howard A. and Violet (Meack) Rounds. A lifelong resident of East Taunton, Edward graduated from Taunton High School in 1964 before proudly serving his country as a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Throughout his life, Edward was known for his strong work ethic, beginning his early years laboring alongside his father in the cranberry bogs. He later dedicated many years to the Gerson Company in Middleboro, where he made significant contributions in the manufacturing division and served as a forklift operator until his retirement. In addition to his career, Edward had a passion for reading historical books and cherished spending time at home with his beloved family.

Edward is survived by his devoted wife Marsha; his son, Christopher Rounds and his wife Jennifer; his daughter, Rachel Schuster and her husband Barry; his grandson, Joshua Correa; as well as his siblings Beverly Palmatier and Janet Grigoreas, along with several nieces and nephews who will greatly miss his presence. Edward was the brother of the late Howard A. Rounds, Jr.

Funeral services will commence with a graveside service at Cedar Knoll Cemetery on Staples Street in East Taunton, MA, at 11:00 AM on Friday May 22, 2026.
