Frances "Fran" Doody Hall passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly and her husband of 65 years, Robert "Bob" Hall.
Fran graduated from Brockton High School and married Bob in 1961. From the very beginning, the two built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. They raised their three children in West Bridgewater before making their home in New Hampshire, and in retirement became snowbirds, splitting their time between Lakeville, Massachusetts, and Naples, Florida.
Fran and Bob were partners in business as well as in life. Over many years of hard work they built and ran Hall's Service Station in Brockton, MA and later American Brake Service in New Hampshire, working side by side.
Fran found something good and beautiful in everything around her. She had an incredibly caring heart and a wonderfully positive spirit. She treasured the many girlfriends and friendships she gathered along the way, always making people feel cared for and loved.
She was happiest creating things with her hands. A talented painter, seamstress, crocheter, and cross-stitcher, she gave her creations away generously. Every handmade gift was a little piece of Fran herself, made with love.
Above all, Fran was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy and her legacy, and the love she gave them will continue through each generation.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Bob; her three children, Debra Stork and her partner Kenny Watson of Norton, MA; Kimberly Mitchell and her husband Nicholas of Carver, MA; and Robert Hall II and his wife Laura of Concord, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind her nephews Doug and Paul Dyer and her niece Beth Abreu; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Rachael, Lindsey, Erica, John, Sarah, Bobby III, and Sean; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren on the way. Fran was preceded in death by her best friend and sister-in-law, Virginia (Ginny) Dyer.
Her family will carry her with them, in the traditions she created, the kindness she showed, and the countless lives she touched simply by being Fran.
Fran will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
Calling hours for Frances will be held on Friday, September 18th from 4:00 - 6:00PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, Massachusetts.
