Frederick Roy DeMoranville Sr, of Lakeville, MA, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at the age of 71, on Friday October 18, 2024. Born on Monday April 20, 1953, in East Taunton, MA, Fred lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Fred was a devoted father to his four children, who were the light of his life. His love extended to his nine grandchildren, with whom he shared countless joyful moments. Whether it was teaching them about caring for his chickens or sharing a song by Johnny Cash, he instilled a sense of warmth and connection that will resonate through the generations.
A vibrant and youthful soul, Fred was always on the go, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every gathering. He had an incredible ability to connect with people, making friends wherever he went. His kindness and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Fred was well known for his strong work ethic, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to every task. He loved a good yard project, decorating the house for the holidays, and cooking up a hearty clam boil. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Louise of 34 years, and his children, Melanie Sisson (DeMoranville) of Carver, Lisa Reynolds and her husband Lawrence of Lakeville, Jessica Lawrence and her husband Joshua of Middleborough, and Frederick DeMoranville Jr. and his wife Crystal of Lakeville. He was the adoring grandfather to Owen, Evan, Savannah, Misty, Scott, Layne, Skye, Izabel, and Quinn, and proud great grandfather to Hayven, Rowen, Scott, and a baby girl expected in January. He is also survived by his brother Calvin and his sister Kathy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Clara (Homen) DeMoranville, and his brother Tarzie.
Fred will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. In honor of his spirit, we invite everyone to celebrate his life by sharing their favorite memories and listening to the music of Johnny Cash, one of Fred’s lifelong passions.
A graveside service for Fred will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024, at 11:00AM, at Precinct Cemetery on Rhode Island Road Rt.79, Lakeville, MA 02347.
