George Everett Wilbur, of Middleborough , age 87 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March. 3, 2022 after a brief stay at Nemasket Healthcare Center. He was the husbandof the late Marilyn Louise (Remedis) Wilbur and father of the late John E. Wilbur. A lifelong resident of Middleborough, George took over the family’s dairy farm at the age of 17 following the passing of his father. He continued to work the farm after retiring from the dairy business by selling firewood and hay well into his 80s. He enjoyed trips with his wife to Vermont, his dogs,and dining out with friends. He was a member of The Rock Village Church and the Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries. George is survived by his sister Anna C. (Wilbur) Orrall and her husband George, nephew Richard G. Orrall, nephew Norman J. Orrall and his wife Keiko all of Lakeville, as well as a grandniece, two grandnephews and a great grandniece. Visiting hours will be held at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday March 9, 2022, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. George will be laid to rest with his late wife and son in Gilbert Pierce Cemetery on Marion Rd. Middleboroughfollowing the funeral service.
