In Loving Memory of George F. Williams Jr.

George F. Williams, Jr. unexpectedly passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 52, at his home in Lakeville, Massachusetts. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 3, 1971, to the late George F. Williams Sr. and the late Ruth M. (Hamilton) Williams.

George was a graduate of Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin, Massachusetts. He resided in Lakeville for the last three years of his life, though he previously resided in Brockton and Middleboro. George dedicated his career as a mechanical engineer at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brockton. He was also a cherished member of the May Flower Masonic Lodge in Middleboro.

Beyond his professional pursuits, George was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in woodworking, the thrill of motorcycle rides, the camaraderie of a good pig roast, the grace of dancing, and the creativity of drawing. His zest for life was undeniable. George had a remarkable gift for humor and lightheartedness, always ready with a joke or prank to bring laughter to those around him, even during the most awkward moments, but it was his unwavering spirit of generosity that truly defined him. He was ever ready to lend a hand and would give the shirt off his own back to help someone in need. George possessed an incredible drive, his determination unyielding when he set his mind to a task, ensuring its completion.

George is survived by his beloved fiancé Kerry Desrosiers, his cherished daughters Gloria and Katherine Williams, and Kerry's children Hannah, Brighana, and Rielly Desrosiers. He was a proud grandfather to Rowan. George is also survived by his sister Lisa Phipps of Lynn, Massachusetts, and his brother Derek Williams of New Hampshire. His adopted and extended family, the Harpers, held a special place in his heart, including James and Mary Harper and their children Jimmy, Shawn, David, Frank, Patrick, Mary Elizabeth, and Bernadette.

A memorial visitation to celebrate George's life will be held on Sunday, October 22,

2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, Massachusetts, 02347. The service will include a Masonic ceremony and a time to share cherished memories and stories of George.
