Gerald Joseph Gordon

Gerald Joseph Gordon, age 85, of Middleborough, MA, peacefully departed this life on May 24, 2025, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA, following a brief illness. Born on January 30, 1940, in Taunton, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Albert W. and Yvonne M. (Bourque) Gordon.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Gerry served his country honorably. After completing his education at Taunton High School, where he graduated in the class of 1958, he dedicated his professional life to Bay State Gas Company, where he served as a lead locator. Outside of work, Gerry enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-boating, fishing, and weightlifting, which nourished both his body and spirit.

Gerry is survived by his devoted son, Davin L. Gordon, who resides in Middleborough. He is also remembered fondly by his sisters, Carol Abrams of Rehoboth and Emelie McDermott of Taunton, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann M. Thornley.

In reflection of his life of service and family devotion, a private family service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Buzzards Bay, MA, on June 17, 2025.

Gerald's compassionate nature and warm spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
