Our beautiful mother, Trudy, peacefully went to God on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Born on Thursday, December 10, 1925, in Jamaica Plain, MA, Trudy had just celebrated her 97th birthday with her family and with her beloved grand dog, Winnie. On the evening of her birthday, she decided it was time for her to start her next chapter alongside her husband Frank who predeceased her as well as with her parents, sister Mary and brothers Billy and Jackie. She will also be reunited with her infant granddaughter, Kara Whalen, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to raising her 5 daughters, Trudy also worked for the Brockton Public Schools and then for many years at Massasoit Community College where she made many beloved friends who remained close until her passing.
Trudy’s life will be remembered and celebrated by her family, Judy and her husband Jon, Janet and her husband Jim, Kathy and her husband Kenny, Ann and her husband Bill and Mary and her husband Glenn. She will also be lovingly missed by her sister, Frances Piatelli and her sister-in-law, Carol MacDonald. Trudy was also the beloved Grandmother of Ryan, Jennifer, Sean, Kelsey, Andrew, Kara, Kyle, Tyler, Eric, Catie, Megan, Owen and Emma. She also was the loving Great Grandmother of Collins, Ryan Penn, Caiden, Nora, Andi, Adrienne, Daniel and Abigail.
Trudy’s life will be celebrated at a Christian Mass of burial at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Road E. Freetown, MA on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA.
