Gloria Louise (Charron) Finley, aged 98, peacefully departed this life on August 10, 2026, at the Alden Court Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven, MA. Born on February 21, 1928, in Marlborough, MA, Gloria was a cherished member of her community and a dedicated assembly worker at BIC Pen Company, from which she retired in 1998.
A longtime resident of Taunton, Gloria was a faithful member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, where her vibrant spirit and warmth touched all who knew her. An enthusiastic and caring individual, she found joy in sewing, knitting, swimming, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Gloria's infectious laughter and radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days, and she had a remarkable talent for making others laugh and feel cherished.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Charron Long, as well as her sons, David and Mark Kapetanupoulos, and her beloved granddaughter, Stacey Burnham. Each of her loved ones will carry forward the legacy of her kindness and resilience.
In honor of Gloria's remarkable life, a celebration of her life will be held October 25th, from 11:00am – 1pm, at East Bay Grille in Plymouth, MA. Family and friends are invited to join together in remembrance, sharing memories and laughter as they pay tribute to a woman who left an indelible mark on their hearts.
Gloria will be remembered not only for the joy she brought to those around her but also for the strength and love she exemplified throughout her life. In accordance with her wishes, her remains will be cremated, with interment taking place at a later date at a location meaningful to her family.
In this time of sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to her family and all who were fortunate to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others.
