Inez E. (Pierce) Marshall, 79, of Lakeville, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Tremont Healthcare Center in Wareham, MA, after a long battle with dementia. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold C. Marshall and daughter of the late Harold W. and Inez E. (Morris) Pierce. Born in Middleborough on May 7, 1945, Inez was a 1963 graduate of Middleborough High School and a devoted homemaker in Lakeville. She found joy in playing cards, bingo, and was what is now known as an "extreme" couponer. In her younger years, she played softball for Lakeville Pride. Her greatest happiness was derived from time spent with her grandchildren. A faithful attendant of the Lakeville Nazarene Church, Inez is survived by her children, Tracy Silva and her husband Richard of Middleborough, Hal Marshall and his wife Wendy of Lakeville, and Donna Doyon and her husband Gerry of New Bedford; eight grandchildren; Jonathan, Donna, Kathy, Tom, Bryce, Hayden, Hunter, and Archer, eight great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Howes of Middleborough; and Donna Marshall and her husband Gene of Maine. She also leaves behind loving sisters-in-law; Rita Garbitt and Janet Beech of Lakeville, niece Laurel Mathis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Inez was predeceased by siblings Gladys Pruitt, John Cayton, Donald Pierce, and Sonny Pierce. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA. A Funeral Home service will take place on Wednesday, August 14, at 10:00 AM. Inez will be laid to rest alongside her husband Harold at Sampson Cemetery in Lakeville.
