Jane C. (Duggan) Mignault

Jane Mignault was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Jane passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 82 after a courageous lifelong battle with type 1 diabetes, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy.

She was born to Mildred and Henry Duggan on March 10, 1940, in Brockton Massachusetts. Jane worked for Boston University Eye associates for many years and retired to spend time with her family and friends.

Simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Jane. She loved reading books and relaxing with a glass of wine in hand. From cracking witty jokes to having great fun facts on a multitude of topics, Jane was the life of the party. She loved spending time with her cat Mushy and keeping up with all the Royal Family. She loved her mani and pedi and would not miss that appointment for anything. Jane’s favorite place was the Lakeville library reading every genre available with her all-time favorite being murder mystery. Jane was very good at vocalizing her opinion on whatever book she was reading. She was also never afraid to share her opinion on any other matter often sparring with Daniel her son in law just for fun. Jane loved her family immensely.  There were great uno card games between Jane and her daughter Melissa with neither giving up-to the other. The two of them loved watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the Patriots games together. The bond between the two unbreakable. Jane and her daughter Michele shared their love for reading and wine. Her three grandchildren will miss her wit and sharp sense of humor as will the rest of her family and friends who all loved grams.

Jane has now joined her husband Ronald sister Debra and parents along with many other family and friends in heaven. Jane will always be remembered by her daughters Melissa Mignault, and Michele Hebert, her son-in-law Daniel Hebert and her grandchildren Zachary P. Hebert his fiancée Brandis M. Rehm, Melissa G. Hebert and Julia C. Hebert.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Lakeville Public Library or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation two causes Jane felt strongly about.

A memorial service for Jane will be held on Thursday May 19, 2022, at 10:00AM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home 280 Bedford Street Lakeville, MA 02347. Jane’s cremains will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater, following the memorial service.
