Janice L. DeMello

Janice Lorraine DeMello, 83, of Norton, MA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. Born on September 12, 1940, in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (England) DeMello. Janice worked for many years on the assembly line at General Motors until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing video games, and chatting online with friends. She is survived by her sisters, Eileen (DeMello) Pina of New Bedford, and Antoinette (DeMello) Sansoucy of Hyannis, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest and Louis DeMello; sister, Dorothy (DeMello) Burch; nephews, John Pina Jr., Keith Burch, and James Burch; and niece, Katherine Sansoucy. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Precinct Cemetery on Rhode Island Road (Rt.79) in Lakeville, MA 02347.
