Jeannette B. (Mostrom) Bricknell passed away peacefully at 97 years of age on July 1, 2023, in Middleboro, MA, with family by her side. She was born in Brockton, MA, the daughter of Dan G. and Ruth H. (Oldrich) Mostrom. Jeannette was the wife of the late Russell C. Bricknell and survived by her sister Pauline Mostrom and children Dianne Mikołajczyk, Mark Bricknell and his wife Jill, Stephen Bricknell and his wife Julie, Scott Bricknell, Thomas Bricknell and his wife Karen, grandchildren: Keven, Cailin, Michael, Laura, Nicki, Josh and Jordan, two great-grandchildren: Josie and Maddie, many nieces and nephews, and extended family including grandniece Michele Dow with whom she was close. Jeannette also leaves numerous friends who were a very important part of her life.
Jeannette, the oldest of six children, was raised in Brockton during the Great Depression and graduated from Brockton High School. Jeannette and Russell married in 1950 and raised their family in Braintree where they were members of the South Congregational Church. Together they created a very loving household with lots of fond memories such as family camping and spending time with the Mostrom extended family at “The Beach” (Harbor Beach) in Mattapoisett. Jeannette and Russell retired to Oak Point in Middleboro where they spent many good years.
Jeannette enjoyed many activities including crafting, painting, quilt making, rug making and doing puzzles. An active, optimistic, positive person, she made good friends at every stage of her life. Making the most of every day, she brought smiles to all who knew her. She will be missed.
