Jill Ann McGinnis

Jill Ann McGinnis, age 55, of Lakeville, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 13, 2022, at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA, following an extended illness. Born on Thursday January 5, 1967, in Hammond, Indiana, Jill was the daughter of Wesley McGinnis and his wife Phyllis and Judith (Hurrelbrink) Chaves. Jill was a Lakeville resident for most of her life. She was a 1985 graduate of Apponequet Regional High School and took several college level business classes. She worked as an office manager at St. Yves Nissan in Berkley, MA, as well as Braintree Rehabilitation Clinic in Taunton, MA.

Jill had a wonderful sense of humor, great sense of fashion and a heart of gold. She enjoyed painting as well as flowers, plants, and birds. Her favorite magazine was “Birds and Blooms”. She also enjoyed motorcycle rides and was known for her incredible quiches!

In addition to her mother Judith Chaves, father Wesley McGinnis and his wife Phyllis, Jill is survived by her sister Joni Brown and stepsister Paula Secatore; nieces Rachel Brown and Abbie Sides; nephews Andy and Ethan Sides; beloved partner Arthur Larrivee; best friend Angela Panettieri as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her stepbrother Remo Secatore.

Services for Jill will be privately held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jill’s name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by visiting their website at www.stjude.org.
