Joan Marie (Bisson) Miglorino

Joan Marie (Bisson) Miglorino, age 93, a cherished mother and beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at Boston Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Leopold L. and Helen (Madden) Bisson and was the devoted wife of the late Frank J. Miglorino.

Joan was a dedicated healthcare professional, earning her L.P.N. and serving as a maternity nurse at several esteemed hospitals, with her most recent position at Brockton Hospital. Her nurturing spirit and compassionate care touched the lives of countless families throughout her career.

A long-time resident of Assonet, Joan recently moved to Carver to live with her beloved daughter, Terry-Ann Elsmore. Known for her artistic talents, she found joy in painting and crocheting, hobbies that reflected her vibrant and creative personality. As a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Assonet, she was actively involved in her faith and community.

Joan was a devoted mother to six children, a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, and a loving sister, aunt, and great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many. Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Joan's life and legacy on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA 02717. Joan will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Frank, at Assonet Burying Ground immediately following the funeral mass.
