Jonathan Pink Obituary

Jonathan "Jon" J. Pink of Lakeville passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30th, 2026. Born in 1957, he was the son of the late Gerard George and Leah Mae Pink.

Jon was extremely bright and skipped ahead two years in grade school. He graduated from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He established AZOR Land Sciences, Inc. in 1995 and served Lakeville and the surrounding areas as a professional land surveyor for 25 years. He was elected to the Lakeville Board of Assessors in 2016.

Jon was an ardent appreciator of music, especially guitar, rock, and classical. He loved the harmonies of The Beach Boys and saw many of the greats in their heyday, including Led Zeppelin, Genesis, and Queen. In his youth, Jon played sports, rode mini-bikes and motorcycles, and spent summers boating on Long Pond. He was a talented carpenter, building the Pink's family home from scratch.

Jon had an enduring sense of humor. He laughed at both the clever and the absurd. He could also laugh at himself. He would often find himself in ludicrous situations that made for the most retell able stories. He was a prolific bestower of nicknames, some sticking and evolving for decades.

As a father, Jon demonstrated that you can be a man and also be a gentle person. He never expressed anger, judgment, or disappointment. He took his time and said a lot with a few words. It is special to have been loved so softly.

Jon always had the patience to do right by people and had a kind heart for animals, too. He was a good, honest man of integrity and exceptional humility. He will be deeply missed.

Jon is lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna; his children: Rachel and her husband Jim MacWilliam, Zachary, Alexander, and Olivia; and his sister, Rebecca. He was the brother of the late Nancy, Richard, and Martha Pink.
