June C. (Bowman) Emerson, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home in East Taunton on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Emerson who passed away in April of 2003. Born in Mattapoisett, MA, on Monday, January 24, 1938, June was the daughter of the late Alexander and Edna (Morrell) Bowman. She worked for East Taunton Scrap & Salvage, Emersons Tree Service, and the Paul Dever State School. June devoted her entire life to her family, raising seven kids and several grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casinos, puzzles, playing bingo and board games, quahogging in Mattapoisett, cooking, word search puzzles, taking her kids and grandkids to Canobie Lake Park, sitting on her swing, and was a Seekonk Speedway for fifty plus years. June is survived by her son David and his wife Anita of Taunton, son Charles Jr. of East Taunton, son Warren and his wife Sue of Middleborough, daughter Carol and her husband Buster of Raynham, son Jeff and his wife Linda of East Taunton, daughter Irene of New Hampshire, siblings Alexander, Edna, John, Warren, Nancy, Wesley, Joyce, Joan, Frank, Sandra and David, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as her longtime friend Paul Croutworst. June was predeceased by her son William E. Emerson and missed by his longtime companion Marcy Grennell. A Celebration of Life Service for June will be held on Sunday July 7, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:30PM, at the Lakeville Eagles Club, 217 County Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30AM, at Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton, MA.
